Mr. Nelson Harry Wilson, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 22, 2024, at his residence. He was born on May 24, 1947, in Hudson County, NJ, to Nelson Francis and Ada Lane Wilson. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Vietnam War. Nelson retired after over 20 years from EPL, Inc. as a toxicologist. He was a member of Pisgah United Methodist Church, where he previously served as Sunday School superintendent. Nelson was an active member of the United Methodist men's club as well as the choir. He loved classic and British cars and previously served as president for both the Old Salem Chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America and The MG Car Club Washington DC Centre. When his boys were younger, he enjoyed coaching them in baseball, football, and basketball. Nelson loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by those who knew him.
