Since 1914, the VFW Auxiliary has united individuals from all walks of life with a common purpose: to improve the lives of veterans, service members, their families and our communities.

Americanism

Chair: Cheryl O'Brien

Promote patriotism throughout our community.
Teach respect and proper etiquette for the U.S. Flag.
Bring attention to and honor our Prisoners of War and those Missing in Action.

Buddy Poppy

Support and educate our members and community about the VFW Buddy Poppy and the VFW National Home.

Extension & Revitalization

Support the development and organization of new VFW Auxiliaries.
Help maintain healthy, active and successful Auxiliaries.
Encourage member participation, leadership and continued growth.

Historian & Media Relations

Preserve the memories and history of our Auxiliary.
Share the work, programs and accomplishments of our members.
Promote Auxiliary activities through social media and community outreach.

Hospital

Chairs: Teresa Walter & Sue Dunmire

Our Hospital Program supports residents at the Salisbury VA through donations of needed items, gifts, holiday celebrations and personal visits.

These efforts help ensure our veterans know their service and sacrifice are remembered and appreciated.

Legislative

Chair: Amanda Troy

Promote VFW Priority Goals.
Participate in letter-writing campaigns supporting veterans and their families.
Stay informed through and promote participation in the VFW Action Corps.
Encourage all citizens to exercise their right to vote.

Membership

Membership in the VFW Auxiliary is an excellent way to show your support of America's veterans.

Since its founding in 1914, the VFW Auxiliary has worked tirelessly to offer financial and moral support to those who need it most.
